Eligibility for the Course

  1. To be able to read, write and understand English.
  2. Background and pre education in Ayurveda is not a must.

  1. Introduction to ashtanga yoga
  2. Pathanjali yoga sutra
  3. Panchamahabta
  4. Shadrasas
  5. Panchakosha theory
  6. Eight libs of ashtanga yoga
  7. Mudras and bandhas and its effects on body
  8. Kriyas
  9. Yoga life style
  10. Anatomy and Physiology
  11. Yoga therapy (chikista) with the help of ashtanga yoga on following systems:
  12. Effect of yoga on cardio vascular system (Hypertension), endocrine system(Viz. Obesity, Diabetes Mellitus), excretory system(Viz. Constipation), respiratory system(Viz. Bronchial Ashtma), nervous system(Viz. Depression), digestive system, reproductive system, Musculo-Skeletal system(viz. backache, arthritis, spondylitis, sciatica)

Practical Syllabus

  1. Therapeutic asanas
  2. Postural benefits
  3. Breathing techniques as per ashtanga yoga
  4. Purification techniques - neti, dhouti, basti, nauli, trataka, kapalabhati
  5. Surya namaskara with chanting
  6. Chandra namaskara with chanting

Course Schedule

  1. 2 sessions each of 45 min of theory.
  2. 3 sessions each of 90 min of practical.


  1. Breakfast: 9.00 am - 10.00 am
  2. Lunch: 1.30 pm - 2.30 pm
  3. Dinner: 6.30 pm - 7.30 pm
  4. All meals are vegetarian.

  1. Yog, Pranayama and Meditation: 6.30 am - 7.30 am/ 7.30 am - 9.00 am/ 12.00 noon - 1.30 pm/ 4.00 pm - 5.30 pm
